TAMPA, Feb. 21, 2022 – University of South Florida softball student-athlete Georgina Corrick was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the second consecutive week to start the 2022 season.
Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) went 3-0 in the circle at the talent-filled St. Pete/Clearwater Elite Invitational, including a victory against No. 7 Oklahoma State, the team's highest ranked win since the team defeated No. 9 Arizona in 2019.
Overall, throughout the weekend, Corrick threw three complete games, including a shutout, limiting teams to just 10 hits and one earned run while tossing 28 strikeouts.
