TAMPA, Fla., March 20, 2022 – University of South Florida senior pitcher struck out eight in USF's 8-0 win over Canisius, moving just five strikeouts away from USF's career record of 1,103 set by Sara Nevins. The Bulls would later fall to St. Thomas in game two of the doubleheader, 10-4.
USF's offense flexed its power-hitting abilities in game one. The Bulls hit three home runs, including one off the bat of (Fort Myers, Fla.) and two from (West Palm Beach, Fla.). Ponn also added a pair of doubles between the two games.
