TAMPA, Feb. 14, 2022 – University of South Florida softball pitcher was named the American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week after her opening weekend success, the league announced on Monday.
Corrick broke the conference's career strikeouts record in her win over Michigan on Saturday. She now has 906 strikeouts in her career, passing the previous record holder, Tulsa's Emily Watson, who tossed 903 from 2015-2018.
Overall, Corrick finished the weekend with a 2-0 record in three appearances. She did not allow a single earned run in her 13.0 innings in the circle, throwing 22 strikeouts total while only permitting eight hits and no walks.
