TAMPA, OCT. 24, 2016 –The USF baseball and softball teams joined together on Saturday morning to volunteer at Buddy Baseball in Temple Terrace.
Buddy Baseball is a non-competitive recreational league for boys and girls with special needs in Tampa. Each player is paired with a “buddy” to assist the player as needed. The league fosters friendships and breaks down barriers.
“Helping at Buddy Baseball was an experience we will never forget,” said senior baseball player Phoenix Sanders. “The smiles, cheers and joys of baseball can bring anyone together and as a team we were more than thankful to be a part of something so special.
