USF rising senior Sean Price was named to the John Mackey Award watch list Wednesday as one of the top tight ends in college football.
Price, who had 14 catches for 207 yards last season, is the second Bull in contention to earn postseason honors so far, joining running back Marlon Mack, who was named to the Maxwell Award watch list on Tuesday.
Price, a former four-star recruit out of Citra, enjoyed the best season of his collegiate career in 2014, setting an individual mark in receiving yards (68 against UCF) and had a career-best 32-yard reception in the opener against Division I-AA Western Carolina.
