NEW ORLEANS, JAN. 13, 2016 – No. 19/16 USF put an end to Tulane’s perfect home run in dramatic fashion Wednesday night.

Shalethia Stringfield made a tough, go-ahead layup in traffic with three seconds left and the Bulls held on for a 71-67 victory in a battle of two of The American’s top teams.

USF (11-4, 4-1) led by five with 24 seconds left and the Green Wave forced the sixth tie of the game on a 3-pointer by Leslie Vorpahl eight seconds later. Laura Ferreira came up with a clutch steal with two seconds left and her free throws helped USF win for the fourth time in the past five games.
