Defending conference champion UConn earned the top spot with 76 points and four first place votes. UCF received the other six first place votes, coming in second with 74 points. Rounding out the top five was USF with 64 points, Memphis with 62 points and Cincinnati with 44 points.
The final five teams in the poll were East Carolina (39 points), Tulsa (38 points), SMU (23 points), Temple (21 points) and Houston (9 points).
Seniors Jackie Simpson and Olivia Chance were named to the Preseason All-Conference Team after coming off stellar seasons in 2014.
