TAMPA, Sept. 27, 2019 – The USF volleyball team opened American Athletic Conference play with an impressive three-set sweep of Temple (9-3; 0-1 American) Friday night in The Corral. Prior to the match the 2018 team was honored with the presentation of the NIVC banner, USF's first postseason appearance since 2002.
USF (7-8; 1-0 American) used big games from sophomore Lindsey Pliapol, senior Jac'cara Walker (Gainesville, Fla.) and junior Rafaela Biegelmeyer (Rio Grande Do Sul, Brazil) to take the win, 25-22, 25-19, 25-18. The Bulls will take on UConn (6-6) Sunday at noon.
