TAMPA (Jan. 24, 2016)— The USF men’s tennis team (2-0) wrapped up a winning weekend with a dominating performance Sunday afternoon, topping No. 30 LSU, 4-1, at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts.
No. 17 Roberto Cid (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) finished No. 22 Jordan Daigle 7-5 (7-2), 6-2 to cap off an impressive opening weekend. Cid trailed 4-1 in the opening set before rallying back to win the set in a decisive tiebreaker. Cid then rattled off a 6-3 second set win to clinch the win for the Bulls.
Cid was just as impressive in doubles, helping the Bulls jump out to a 1-0 lead with the doubles point win.
