TAMPA, Fla., April 10, 2022 – The University of South Florida softball team posted a rare loss in a pitching duel, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon to close out the series against Wichita State.
(Forest Hill, Md.) finished the day with two doubles and an RBI.
The Bulls got on the board early. Johns walked to lead off the game then stole second. Sheehan tallied her 21 RBI of the season by driving (Sarasota, Fla.) home with a double later in the inning.
The Shockers tied it up in the fourth, as a solo home run from Jessica Garcia evened the game at 1-1.
