ORLANDO, FEB. 7, 2016 – Maria “Nani” Merchan, Ashley Burke and Maria Rodriguez each carded 78’s during a windy Sunday at the UCF Challenge.
USF (+26) is in 15th place after the opening round at Eagle Creek Golf Club (par-72, 6,349 yards). Houston (+7) grabbed the team lead, followed in the top five by Texas (+11), No. 25 Missouri (+13), No. 15 Iowa State (+3) and Augusta (+3) with winds gusting up to 20 miles per hour.
The Bulls got their fourth score from senior Michelle Reyes, who carded an 80 in her first round of the season.
