COLUMBUS, Ohio. (Feb. 3, 2017) – The University of South Florida men’s tennis team faced No. 3 Ohio State on the road, and fell in a hard-fought 6-1 loss with four out six singles matches going to three sets.
The Bulls trailed going into singles action, and needed four wins to take the match. In the No. 4 spot, Alberto Barroso-Campos dropped his first set, but answered with a second-set win to send the match into a super tie break. Barroso-Campos sealed the sole Bull victory 2-6, 7-6(1), 1-0(10).
Peter Bertran and Vadym Kalyuzhnyy picked up wins in their first sets, but were unable to hold onto their leads.
