Bulls Battle No. 18 Wolverines in Tough Loss

Ann Arbor, Mich. (Feb. 5, 2017) – The USF men’s tennis team finished off a Big 10 road swing with a difficult loss to No. 18 Michigan, 4-1

After dropping the doubles point, the Bulls (1-3) hoped to settle the score with four wins in singles. Freshman Pierre Luquet and Alberto Barroso-Campos were close matched with their opponents, each going into tie breaks.

On court five, freshman Pierre Luquet put the Bulls on the board with a straight-set win over Davis Crocket 6-4, 7-6(4). In the No. 4 spot, Barroso-Campos narrowly fell after taking the first set by way of a tie break, and ending the match with a loss through a super tie-break, 7-6(5), 5-7, 1-0(5).
