TAMPA (April 20, 2024) – The Rice University Owls (14-25, 5-9 AAC) secured a series win on Saturday afternoon over the University of South Florida Bulls (21-18, 7-7 AAC) after a 10-6 victory at USF Baseball Stadium. Rice took its first lead of the day with a four-run fourth inning and put the game out of reach with four more runs in the eighth frame.
South Florida suffered just its second weekend series loss of the season at home, the first since March 15-17, and first conference series loss in Tampa.
The Owls broke the scoring seal with a run in the top of the third, but USF answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame.
