Tampa, Fla., March 2, 2023 – University of South Florida track and field student-athlete Romaine Beckford was named the American Athletic Conference's Men's Indoor Most Outstanding Performance, the organization announced this week.
Last weekend, Beckford won the AAC High Jump Championships with a leap of 2.26 meters (7-5.00). That mark is now the AAC and USF program record. He now enters the NCAA championships seeded third and has been undefeated this regular season in the men's high jump.
Beckford was the 2022 AAC Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field High Jump Champion, and he was also named the American Athletic Conference Field Athlete of the Week twice earlier this season.
