Most of South Carolina’s 2018 signing class enrolled in time to participate in spring practice, but there are nine Gamecocks who have yet to arrive on campus.
South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp said Tuesday night that he expects all of them to fully qualify academically but added that some may not be able to enroll until the second session of summer school. Jesus Gibbs, a lineman from Dumfries, Va., is one who may be delayed, Muschamp said, because his high school has a late graduation date.
“Some (high) schools are not as forgiving in terms of letting them leave school early and then come back for graduation,” Muschamp said.
