Dakereon Joyner eventually wants the job that Jake Bentley has right now, but it’s too early to tell much about what the future holds for Joyner, Bentley said.
“Obviously being a freshman, he has a lot to learn, a lot to soak in right now,” said Bentley, South Carolina’s junior starting quarterback. “It’s kind of all been thrown at him, but he’s doing a great job of picking it up. He really enjoys learning football.”
Joyner, a four-star recruit who was the highest-rated player in the Gamecocks 2018 signing class, has been through three full spring practices with South Carolina.
