There’s no doubt, a win against Clemson would in some way help South Carolina’s football recruiting.
It’s a big game any time. Bigger now that the Tigers won a title last year and are in the playoff discussion. An upset would break South Carolina’s current three-game slide in the series, give the Gamecocks a nine-win campaign and stand as the biggest win under the current regime.
Seems like enough to impress a recruit, but USC coach Will Muschamp wanted to focus on the wider picture, rather than the result of one Saturday night.
“It continues to show progress within our program,” Muschamp said.
