South Carolina's Paige Cline clinched both of the Gamecocks' wins this weekend against No. 35 Texas A&M and No. 36 LSU. At No. 4 singles, Cline went 2-0 on the weekend, defeating Texas A&M's Tatiana Makarova, 6-4, 6-2, and LSU's Kennan Johnson, 6-4, 6-2. In her singles match against LSU's Kennan Johnson, Cline mounted a huge first-set comeback after trailing, 2-4. She tied the score at 4 all and went on to take the first set, 6-4. With the momentum in her favor, Cline jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second set before sealing the deal for the Gamecocks.
