USC signs off on new contracts for Ray Tanner, football assistants

South Carolina athletics director Ray Tanner received a two-year contract extension on Monday that will keep him with the Gamecocks until at least the summer of 2024. Tanner, who makes $900,000 annually, previously had a deal that ended in 2022. The university’s board of trustees unanimously approved the new deal in a meeting Monday.

“I’m very grateful for the support of Dr. Pastides and this board,” Tanner said. “They have accepted me into their inner circle, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue.
