Listen, we all know that the first rule of Gamecock fandom is that you will experience soul crushing defeat that will leave you staring at yourself in the mirror wondering why in the world you do things like this to yourself. However, Saturday’s defeat at the hands of a resurrected (and questionably botox’ed) Mack Brown team may have been a new experience. Losing to a University of North Carolina Tarheels team that won a combined five games in the past two seasons with a freshman quarterback when you’re optimistic about a fourth year quarterback and a host of veteran talent might have thrown you for a loop.
