South Carolina exceeded expectations in 2017. Florida definitely didn’t. So maybe it shouldn’t be a surprise that the Gamecocks, not the Gators, just added a 2019 prospect who just won a football championship in the Sunshine State.
Three-star offensive tackle Mark Fox committed to South Carolina for the 2019 class on Wednesday, announcing his decision on Twitter:

Fox, at 6-4 and 290 pounds, plays for Miami Northwestern, which last month won Florida’s high school championship at Class 6A. He selected the Gamecocks ahead of offers including Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss, Louisville and UCF.
