South Carolina women’s basketball signee Zia Cooke dropped 43 points last night

South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley has already led the women’s basketball program to several firsts. The 2014-15 season saw the Gamecocks advance to its first Final Four, followed by its first-ever No. 1 ranking and first national championship in 2016-17. This year, she’s accomplished another first in signing the program’s first-ever top-ranked recruiting class, one that includes the No. 3, No. 7, No. 10 and No. 13 players.

There’s obviously high hopes that the incoming class can help the Gamecocks get back to the top, and if Toledo (Oh.) Rogers point guard Zia Cooke’s play is any indication, Staley and company will be set.
