South Carolina women grab win, but lose Bianca Cuevas-Moore for season

The No. 4 South Carolina Gamecocks women posted a big 99-38 victory over Savannah State in their return to the court, but got some unfortunate news with the announcement that senior guard Bianca Cuevas-Moore will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Alexis Jennings notched a double-double for South Carolina (10-1) with 10 points and 13 rebounds, and Ty Harris added one of her own with 14 points and 12 assists. A’ja Wilson led all scorers with 26 points and Mikiah Herbert Harrigan contributed 21 off the bench. The Gamecocks put on a defensive clinic, holding the Tigers (2-7) to just 24% shooting from the field and racking up 14 steals with five blocks.
