The final SEC series of the regular season got off to a rocky start, as South Carolina got behind midway through the game and was unable to respond with a big enough rally against Tennessee.
The Volunteers took a 1-0 lead in the third, thanks to a sac fly from Max Ferguson. Things took a turn for the worse from there, as UT broke the game open in the next inning. Luc Lipcius homered, Pete Derkay knocked a run-scoring double, Connor Pavolony singled for another run, and Ferguson went yard to make the score 7-0 by the time it was all said and done.
