After getting off to a lackluster start in this series, the Gamecocks righted the ship on Saturday afternoon, blanking No. 15 Auburn to give South Carolina a chance at getting an SEC series win tomorrow.
The Gamecocks got on the board in the bottom of the second on a two-out home run by Ian Jenkins that made the score 1-0. The only other runs of the game came in the bottom of the sixth. Jacob Olson and Luke Berryhill walked to start things off, and both advanced on a sac bunt by Chris Cullen. Brady Allen then walked too to load the bases with one out, and Jenkins reached on an error, while Olson and Berryhill both came in to score, making it 3-0.
