South Carolina didn't just win on Tuesday night, the Gamecocks took control of the ball and never loosened their grip. Behind 29 combined bench points from Elijah Strong and freshman phenom Eli Ellis, South Carolina cruised to an 87-58 victory over Radford on Tuesday night at Colonial Life Arena.
South Carolina opened on a 7-0 burst, watched Radford briefly answer with a matching run, then simply pulled away. An 8-0 spurt late in first half of the game, fueled by Strong, Ellis, and Sharavjamts, pushed the lead to double digits. From there, Radford never got closer than seven points and were held by 31% shooting from the floor and just 29% from deep.
