South Carolina players Skai Moore and Deebo Samuel being investigated for assault

Two South Carolina players, wide receiver Deebo Samuel and linebacker Skai Moore, as well as former Gamecocks linebacker Jalen Dread, are being investigated for an assault at a Columbia bar, but none have been arrested.

Samuel was South Carolina’s leading receiver in 2016, with 59 catches for 783 yards and one touchdown. Moore redshirted last season, while dealing with a neck injury. Dread played the past two seasons but was not listed on the Gamecocks’ 2017 spring roster. The school has not commented.

The State newspaper of Columbia said the three are accused of assaulting a man just before 3 a.
