Starting offensive lineman Cory Helms is “fine” and will play Saturday when South Carolina takes on No. 2 Georgia in Athens, Ga. at 3:30 p.m. Helms, the Gamecocks right guard, left Saturday’s 34-27 win over Vanderbilt after aggravating an ankle injury. Starting left tackle Dennis Daley also will be back in the lineup, Muschamp said. Daley suffered an elbow injury against the Commodores.
Linebacker Sherrod Greene (thigh bruise) and reserve wide receiver Chad Terrell (ankle) also are expected to play. Reserve wide receiver Terry Googer (concussion) is questionable.
