South Carolina gets commitment from 2016 center Khadim Gueye

Frank Martin has landed a big man. Khadim Gueye, a three-start recruit out of Bradenton, Florida, committed to the South Carolina Gamecocks today.

Gueye, who played his high school ball at Victory Rock Prep, received offers from Arizona State, Long Beach State, and South Florida. He originally committed to USF in December 2015, but ended up reopening his recruitment. With Gueye, the team picks up some big size in the middle; he stands at 7'1" and can get it done on the boards (9.5 rpg) as well as serve a shot-blocking threat (1.2 bpg). While he won't pour in a ton of points, this is still a very strong get for Martin and the staff.
