South Carolina Gamecocks Hockey Joins the SEC with an ACC/ACHA Partnership

SEC club hockey is officially back! Earlier in July, the Southeast Conference, in partnership with ACC Hockey, announced that the South Carolina Gamecocks hockey team will join the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) in a new Division 2 club hockey conference. They will be joining some familiar foes as the 2024 AAU Division 1 National Champions look to make some noise in the ACHA for the 2025-26 season.

They will be joining with the Alabama Crimson Tide, Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Ole Miss Rebels, and the Tennessee Volunteers. It's an exciting time for club college hockey in the south as big SEC schools will be part of the new SEC Conference in Division 2 ACHA hockey, along with the help of the ACC, which has been a strong member in the club college hockey scene.
