Ibrahim Famouke Doumbia is leaving South Carolina’s basketball program.
The 6-foot-6, 205-pound freshman has been granted his release and will transfer from USC, 247Sports' Andrew Slater reported Wednesday.
Doumbia, a Mali native, appeared in 12 games this season, totaling eight points and 10 rebounds. After logging five minutes at Tennessee on Feb. 13, Doumbia didn’t play again in 2017-18.
Doumbia’s departure gives Carolina an open scholarship to finish the 2018 recruiting period.
