South Carolina football has had large official visit weekends for most of the month of June. Blue chip prospects have been on campus in Columbia each of the last three weekends, and perhaps the biggest weekend of them all is coming up in a few days.
One of the top recruits who visited the Gamecocks at the beginning of the month was 4-star athlete Kamron Mikell. Mikell is expected to be a defensive back (likely at corner) in college and has been recruited primarily as a secondary player by the South Carolina football staff.
Mikell, a Georgia native, has been viewed as a Bulldog lean for most of his recruitment, but the Gamecocks appear to be in the next-best position to land the 6’0″ athlete.
