Shane Beamer has hired former Florida defensive backs coach Torrian Gray to take over in the same role for the South Carolina football team next season. Gray brings with him over 20 years of coaching experience at both the collegiate and professional levels.
Shortly after the hire was made public, a former Gamecock star gave his thoughts on the new addition to the South Carolina staff.
Defensive back DJ Swearinger gave a glowing endorsement of Gray, who coached the secondary while Swearinger was playing for the Washington Football Team.
