It didn’t come easy for the South Carolina women’s basketball team on Sunday afternoon in Colonial Life Arena.
Playing their third game in six days, the seventh-ranked Gamecocks held off Florida, 64-57, to improve to 20-5 overall and 2-1 for the week.
The Gators (10-15, 2-10 SEC) led by as many as 10 points in the second quarter and were within four points of USC (9-3 SEC) with less than six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Tyasha Harris hit two big 3-pointers and added a layup to give Carolina some needed cushion in crunch time.
