CLEMSON – Frank Martin sat back in his chair, arms glued to his chest. The normally animated South Carolina basketball coach had nothing to give his Gamecocks on this possession.
Even after Kory Holden drove the right side of Clemson’s defense for a layup, Martin barely moved. Celebrating wasn’t an option when your offense was unwatchable for the majority of the night.
The Tigers beat the Gamecocks, 64-48, on Tuesday evening at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Clemson is now 10-1 and looking a legitimate NCAA Tournament contender. USC is 8-3 and just looking for consistency.
