The South Carolina Board of Trustees has approved a four-year contract extension for Gamecocks head men's basketball coach Frank Martin. The new deal will keep him in place until 2021-22. No financial details of the extension are known at this time, but it is expected to come along with a pay increase that will see him earn more than the $2.2 million he pulled in this past year, and will likely include performance incentives. An announcement should come shortly after the Final Four, where Martin is right now.
Martin, whose contract was set to expire after the 2017-18 season, presided over one of the most successful seasons in program history.
