South Carolina basketball player charged with possession

COLUMBIA — Another member of the South Carolina men’s basketball team has run afoul of the law.

Freshman forward Raymond Doby was charged with first-offense possession of marijuana or 10 grams or less of hash on March 26, according to Lexington County public records. He was fined a total of $620.

Two other USC players, freshman Eric Cobb and Jamall Gregory, were dismissed after they were arrested last month on property damage charges related to incidents involving a BB gun. Cobb and Gregory were also cited for the same possession offense on the same date as Doby, and fined the same amount.
