A new rule change in college basketball will allow an additional coach to join college basketball staffs. The same legislation that allowed the South Carolina baseball team to add Joey Holcomb as a full-time coach also allows the South Carolina basketball program to add a 4th assistant coach to Dawn Staley’s sideline.
It appears that Staley has tabbed her new coach, and the name will be a familiar one to Carolina fans.
Former Gamecock Khadijah Sessions is set to become the 4th assistant coach for Dawn Staley’s South Carolina basketball program.
Sessions played four seasons for the Gamecocks from 2012-2016 and was a major contributor all four of her collegiate years, starting most of three years in garnet and black.
