The basketball season came to an unexpected end, with the Gamecocks not being able to test their luck in the SEC Tournament. Frank Martin’s team ended the year at 18-13 (10-8), good enough for 6th place in the conference standings. It was the fourth time in five years that South Carolina has put together a winning record in SEC play.
The season was full of highlights, as USC knocked off SEC champ Kentucky, took down defending national champ Virginia, ended a losing skid to rival Clemson, and saw the end to an incredible career for one Gamecock great.
