South Carolina athletics fans have a few days circled on their calendars every year: the South Carolina-Clemson football game, the opening day of the baseball season, and the start of March Madness for the basketball squads (especially for Dawn Staley’s group) are always fan favorites. In recent years, though, a new day has popped up on the calendar.
The SECNetwork fills the dearth of active games and news in July by filling the first half of the month with school “takeovers.” These takeovers are essentially all-day programming and/or past games that fans of each school would want to tune in to see.
