The South Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame has announced its class of 2023. According to a release from Gamecocksonline.com, the class will include 8 Gamecock legends. The induction will take place in October, and the entire class will be honored during the South Carolina-Florida football game on October 14th.
From the South Carolina football team, offensive lineman Ernest Dye will be inducted. Dye was an All-SEC performer as a Gamecock and was a starter with the Phoenix/Arizona Cardinals for several seasons in the NFL.
South Carolina baseball legend Wallie Jones will also be honored with induction into the South Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame.
