BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- A nation-leading seven Southeastern Conference baseball teams are ranked in the D1Baseball.com Preseason Top 25 released Tuesday.
A total of three SEC teams are ranked in the top-four: No. 1 Florida, No. 3 Vanderbilt and No. 4 Texas A&M. LSU is ranked seventh, while Mississippi State is 15th, South Carolina is 17th and Arkansas is 25th.
SEC teams comprised half of the field in the College World Series a year ago (Arkansas, Florida, LSU and Vanderbilt). The Commodores finished as the NCAA runner-up, giving the SEC a team in the CWS Championship Series for the eighth consecutive year.
