South Carolina’s win over LSU helped jump the Gamecocks two spots in the league standings. It’s the two spots USC needs to earn a first round bye in the SEC Tournament.
Heading into Saturday – the final day of the regular season – South Carolina sits 10th in the SEC. Such a seeding would earn the Gamecocks a second round matchup against the No. 7 seed next Thursday in St. Louis – and get them out of next Wednesday’s set of first round games.
