The SEC league office announced its players of the week Monday, highlighted by Auburn’s Kerryon Johnson and his huge game against then-No. 1 Georgia.
OFFENSE: RB Kerryon Johnson, Auburn: Johnson rushed for 167 yards while adding two catches for 66 yards and a touchdown as the Tigers torched the Bulldogs 40-17 in a game that wasn’t even as close as that score would indicate. With 16 touchdowns, Johnson is now tied for the most in conference play with Tim Tebow and Cam Newton since 2000. This guy is really underrated.
