HOOVER, Ala. – Greg McElroy, the former national championship-winning Alabama quarterback now working as an SEC Network analyst, thinks South Carolina is underrated going into the 2015 football season.
“Everyone is sleeping on South Carolina,” McElroy said Thursday at SEC Media Days. “Everyone has completely written them off, saying they are on the downward spiral. They lost four games last year that they should have won.”
McElroy, along with leading Alabama to the 2009 national title, was a top student before a brief NFL career. He went academic with his take on the Gamecocks’ 7-6 finish in 2014.
