When the South Carolina football team finally returns to the field this week after a hurricane-induced bye week, the players are looking for a bounce-back moment for an offense that had a rough go against Georgia.
Standing in the way is a Vanderbilt defense with a well-defined personality.
“They’re always chippy,” wide receiver Bryan Edwards said. “They play hard. They’ve got good motors. They’ve got talent. You’ve got to be ready to play honestly. You’ve got to be ready for a dog fight.”
