The Tigers improved their record to 10-6-1 (4-4-1 SEC) on the season while handing the Gamecocks their third loss of the season (12-3-1, 6-2-1 SEC). Sunday's win marks the fifth time that LSU has knocked off a top-10 opponent in program history with the last top-10 win coming in 2011.
The Game Winner
The sequence all started with a goal kick from Caroline Brockmeier. Marlena Cutura positioned herself wonderfully under the kick and won the ball to the foot of Alex Thomas. Thomas dribbled a time or two before drawing a pair of South Carolina defenders to her.
