Jake Bentley, Deebo Samuel stand out in South Carolina win

South Carolina started its third quarterback in seven games and was rewarded with its third win of the season, 34-28 over visiting Massachusetts (1-7).

It was a strange game, with the Gamecocks (3-4) racing out to a 27-7 lead early, then getting extremely sloppy to let the Minutemen back within a TD late. The three wins matches South Carolina’s total from last season, but with three ranked teams left on the schedule, there won’t be many more unless their performance gets sharper.
