Isaac Ellis decommits from South Carolina, reclassifies to 2027 in stunning move

South Carolina men's basketball just took an unexpected hit on the recruiting trail. Class of 2026 guard Isaac Ellis has officially decommitted from the Gamecocks and announced he will reclassify to the class of 2027, per multiple posts Ellis shared across social media on Monday evening.

Ellis, a 6-foot standout from Moravian Prep and a rising name, was originally committed to South Carolina earlier this year. He was set to join his older brother, four-star signee Eli Ellis, in Columbia as part of Lamont Paris’ growing pipeline of perimeter scorers.
